Follow the following tips to install an AR Series unit for a long life of your equipment.

Clean & Inspect

Clean all shaft ends, hub bores, and keyways thoroughly.

Mount Seals & Hubs

Place cover seals onto shafts before mounting hubs. Fit keys, slide hubs onto shafts flush with shaft ends, and tighten setscrews.

Align Shafts

Check axial gap, radial/parallel alignment using a straight edge, and angular alignment using a feeler gauge across 90° intervals.

Pack Grid Grease

Apply high-grade, extreme-pressure (EP) coupling grease liberally into the hub slots.

Install Spring Grid

Insert the spring grid segments into the hub slots using a soft mallet until grid loops seat fully into the grooves.

Assemble Cover

Pack remaining grease over the grid loops, position cover seals and gaskets, and torque cover bolts to specified values.
